Music Video Project

The music video project really intimidated me at first. I am so into news that this was way out of my comfort zone. Once I got an idea for it though, my imagination ran wild and the project really came together fast. I decided to set the video to Tim McGraw's "My Little Girl" because I thought it would be fun to involve my parents in the project and show them what I can do.

My parents and grandparents rounded up several home videos from my childhood and I spent hours watching them all (and i enjoyed every minute of it!) I logged all the tapes and determined which videos would be best for the project. After all was said and done, I was very pleased with the end result. Here's my music video to "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw.

Commercial Project

For our third assignment, we had the choice of making a commercial or a PSA for a company in mid-Missouri. I had been wanting to make a commercial for my apartment complex for quite a while. Unfortunately when the assignment was given, it was cold, the pool was closed, and the complex wasn't super appealing. I utilized my resources the best I could and made a decent commercial. I hope to remake a better one for them once our weather stabilizes and offer it to them for their website or otherwise. For now, here's what I did.

Editing Project

For our second assignment, we were to marry non-linear sound and video as an exercise to learn to edit with Final Cut Pro. My partner Stephanie and I both work at KOMU 8 News so we shot all of our video around the news station. This assignment was fun because we were able to get creative with how we used the numbers and sounds of the station for the project. Here's our final draft.

About Me Video

Our first assignment for this class was an about me video. We had to shoot video at 4 locations, and include a variety of shots. We worked with partners on this project. Here is my about me video.
